About The Role

The Machine Learning (ML) Engineer role at Deloitte is a pivotal position within the AI and Data practice, focusing on designing, deploying, and managing machine learning models at scale for production environments. As a Machine Learning Operations Engineer, you will work closely with high-growth organizations, contributing to their digital transformation initiatives. Your responsibilities will include developing robust ML pipelines, operationalizing models using leading MLOps frameworks, and ensuring scalable, reliable deployment of AI solutions. You will collaborate with a talented team of data scientists, data architects, software developers, and industry experts, actively participating in client pitches, proposal development, and project management activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects that leverage cutting-edge AI technologies, helping clients achieve tangible business outcomes while enhancing your technical and business development skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in building and automating data analytics and ML pipelines
  • Hands-on experience in ML model development and deployment
  • Proficiency in operationalizing ML projects using frameworks such as Kubeflow, AWS Sagemaker, Google AI Platform, Azure Machine Learning, DataRobot, or MLFlow
  • Strong programming skills in Python for ML and automation tasks
  • Experience with databases and data manipulation tools including SQL, Oracle, Hadoop, NoSQL databases
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native tools within AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments
  • Ability to handle ambiguous data, develop creative analytical solutions, and interpret data in a business context
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is an asset
  • Project management experience and professional services background are advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning models in production environments
  • Operationalize ML workflows using leading MLOps frameworks and tools
  • Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and software developers to ensure seamless model integration and deployment
  • Maintain and monitor deployed models to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development to showcase AI capabilities and solutions
  • Contribute to project management activities, including planning, execution, and delivery of AI projects
  • Implement best practices in data management, version control, and automation to streamline ML operations
  • Stay updated on emerging AI and ML technologies, and recommend innovative solutions for client challenges
  • Support internal initiatives to enhance Deloitte’s AI and data capabilities and knowledge sharing
