The IT Manager is responsible for leading the organization’s technology strategy, operations, and innovation agenda. This role oversees all aspects of IT infrastructure, systems management, cybersecurity, and digital transformation, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements. The IT Manager plays a central role in driving technology-enabled efficiency, supporting regional integration with GAIF systems, and enabling business growth through robust and secure IT services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in leadership/management roles.
- Strong track record in IT strategy, infrastructure management, and digital transformation.
- Certifications in ITIL, CISSP, ISO 27001, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong business acumen with ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Develop and execute the IT strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and long-term business plans.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives, including automation, integration, and adoption of emerging technologies.
- Serve as the primary IT representative to the Board, executive management, GAIF, and regulatory bodies.
IT Infrastructure & Operations
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of IT systems, networks, and infrastructure.
- Ensure IT operations run smoothly, covering helpdesk, network uptime, data management, and user support.
- Establish and monitor IT performance metrics (KPIs) for operational excellence.
Cybersecurity, Risk & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity frameworks and risk management practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and GAIF standards for cross-border insurance data exchange.
- Lead business continuity, disaster recovery, and data protection initiatives.
Project & Vendor Management
- Direct IT projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring scope, budget, and timelines are achieved.
- Lead vendor selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management.
- Drive cost optimization and value creation through IT procurement and partnerships.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and build the IT team to ensure capability, resilience, and succession readiness.
- Conduct performance reviews, training roadmaps, and career development programs.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
GAIF & Industry Integration
- Ensure seamless integration of the company’s IT systems with GAIF platforms, supporting interoperability and compliance.
- Provide technical and operational support to local insurance companies for Orange Card system usage and troubleshooting.
Salary Package & Benefits:
OMR 1,800 – 2,200, inclusive of medical coverage for the employee and family, along with group life insurance.
