Job Overview

This role encompasses the entire data lifecycle, from meticulously identifying information needs and analyzing data from diverse sources to designing and creating robust data collection tools and transforming raw data into actionable insights through effective reporting and visualization, ensuring data is accessible and usable for decision-making, with upholding established data privacy standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify information needs and analyze data from diverse sources.
  • Ensure that all data protection principles are implemented and consistently followed.
  • Transform raw data into actionable insights through effective reporting and visualization
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of the data into the relevant databases and reporting platforms.
  • Designing, creating, and updating robust data collection tools to ensure efficient and accurate data capture.
  • Conduct trainings and orientations on the use of information management systems.
  • Support timely information sharing regarding challenges and needs at the field level.
  • Clean and deduplicate beneficiary registration data.
  • Compiling and submitting beneficiary lists for assistance approval.
  • Collaborating with the MEAL department on narrative and post-distribution (PDM) reporting.
  • Tracking and updating indicator progress in the IPTT.

Education

JOB REQUIREMENTS

University degree, in addition, technical courses on data management are preferred. Background in computer science and/or data analytics is preferred.

Experience

  • Experience in humanitarian programs will be an additional advantage
  • Experience developing and managing databases and conducting statistical analysis and reporting
  • Knowledge of and experience with Commcare, RedRose or similar data collection tools (Kobo Toolbox)
  • Good skills and experience reporting using Excel and extracting information from the master database and running reports

Demonstrated Skills And Competencies

  • Demonstrated capacity for working effectively in a diverse and multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Excel, including creating tables and forms, data analysis, using pivot tables, and charting/visualizing data in dashboard format.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent data entry skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients/beneficiaries
  • High degree of flexibility and strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Positive and professional attitude, including ability to lead and work well in a team setting

Fluent in Ukrainian and good in English.

Key Working Relationships

Position Reports directly to: Information Management Manager and works closely with ERD Coordinator and MEAL Manager.
