iOS Developer
Location: Bristol (hybrid)
Engagement: Inside IR35, 6-month initial contract (likely extension)
Day rate: £475/day
My client, a large financial institution, is searching for an iOS Developer to join them on an initial 6 month contract, inside IR35 with hybrid working.
You will join a multi-disciplinary squad building and enhancing customer-facing iOS features for a Banking programme (payments, onboarding/identity, servicing journeys). You’ll work closely with product, design, Android, backend/API and QA in a modern CI/CD environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and ship high-quality native iOS apps with clean architecture and test coverage.
- Integrate with services; handle auth, session/state, and secure data storage.
- Drive code quality via unit/UI tests, code reviews, static analysis, and CI pipelines.
- Collaborate on solution design (patterns, APIs, performance, accessibility, localisation).
- Contribute to mobile platform standards (linting, templates, reusable components).
- Diagnose and resolve production issues; participate in Agile ceremonies.
Essential skills & experience
- Swift (and solid knowledge of SwiftUI and/or UIKit), Xcode, SPM/CocoaPods.
- Previous experience in the banking or financial services sector.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid model in London.
- Architecture patterns (MVVM/MVI/Clean), dependency injection, modularisation.
