As a Software Engineer at Australian Retirement Trust, you will play a key part in designing, developing, configuring, and supporting ART’s application solutions. You’ll help deliver functional and efficient software that supports our strategy and maintains our market-leading position. This role is ideal for someone passionate about leveraging industry-leading tools and practices to deliver high-quality application features.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver software solutions in support of ART’s strategic objectives, leveraging technologies such as SharePoint Online, SPFx, React, and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Assess, analyse, develop, document, and implement changes to existing systems and applications, including unit testing, using modern frameworks and tools aligned with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform standards.
- Prioritise and diagnose incidents across supported platforms, investigate root causes, and implement resolutions in accordance with established procedures and service levels.
- Investigate problems in systems, processes, and services, and assist with implementing remedies and preventative measures.
- Design, code, test, correct, and document moderately complex programs and scripts from agreed specifications, using technologies such as React, SPFx, and Power Automate.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team and support release and deployment activities.

Key Skills And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- Highly developed problem-solving, analytical, and management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to consult and liaise with both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Demonstrable experience in software development and proficiency with relevant tools and technologies.
- Intermediate knowledge of relational databases and query languages (SQL).
- Experience with version control tools/concepts and automated builds.
- Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and manage activities to deliver IT services with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of Solution Delivery Lifecycle methodologies (Waterfall & Agile), release coordination, and quality assurance processes.
