Role/Title: Artificial Intelligence Engineer 8-12 Years

Mode of Hiring: Permanent

Location: Sydney

Job Description:

You must be adept at Java (and possibly other JVM-based languages) for enterprise-grade systems, comfortable with Python for AI/ML workflows (e.g., PyTorch), and proficient in cloud deployment strategies. Beyond that, you’ll integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere, etc.), leverage retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) frameworks, and decide when to fine-tune models or use them as-is. As a power user of AI-based tools, you’ll be expected to optimize your own coding through AI assistants, while also guiding best practices for prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, and system reliability.

Must Have:

• 8+ years of commercial software development, focusing on integration/APIs
• Expert knowledge of Spring Framework ecosystem (particularly Boot 3.x, Security, WebFlux)
• Mastery of API security, including OAuth2, JWT, and API key management
• Track record of delivering high-performance, secure system designs
• Strong command of AWS, Azure or GCP cloud services
• Experience consuming LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), orchestrating prompts or agentic workflows
• Familiarity with RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), term/embedding-based search
• Daily usage of AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to speed up development workflows
• GCP knowledge too
