Software Engineer (IOS) - Tracking Data Processing (All Genders)

About The Role

As an IOS Software Engineer, you will be part of an expert team of software engineers, data engineers and analysts working towards generating and providing insights to guile Zalando’s business, which boasts over 50 million customers across 25 countries. Our team is looking for a talented iOS Software Engineer with React Native experience, as well as proven experience collaborating with backend teams to build scalable, data-driven solutions. Familiarity with modern integration patterns, including RESTful APIs and GraphQL, will be a strong advantage. Your main challenges are going to be ensuring the system adheres to the latest software engineering standards, designing and implementing new data products, gaining a comprehensive understanding of our data and ensuring its quality for our stakeholders.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING

• You will be part of an agile cross-platform team that continuously improves and extends Zalando iOS and Android applications and is dedicated to building Zalando’s Tracking Platform
• You will collaborate closely with different engineering, ML and analytical teams and individual stakeholders to build and continuously improve data products for various business needs
• You will act like an owner and take an active role in reducing ambiguity, understanding business requirements, and translating them into technical solutions and requirements.
• Proactively suggest and implement improvements while driving the technical design of new features and architectural proposals to ensure scalability, testability, and maintainability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest announcements from Apple WWDC and React Native community, as well as new iOS frameworks, tools, and technologies, to ensure development processes remain modern and efficient.
• Grow and share your expertise while actively supporting the growth and development of junior colleagues and peers both within and beyond your team.
  
  
  

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

• You have proven experience developing and shipping React Native applications, a good understanding of React Native fundamentals, and experience working with TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experienced with React Native ecosystem, including Redux for state management and React Navigation.
• You have a good understanding of iOS mobile development and Apple design principles, and hands-on experience integrating native iOS modules.
• Experience in building cross-platform mobile apps, integrating React Native with native modules for platform-specific features is a big plus.
• Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile application development, ensuring efficient and reliable releases.
• Experienced in implementing and using monitoring and observability tools and practices to ensure mobile application health, performance, and stability.
• You own your code and are passionate about writing well structured, readable, and maintainable code that’s covered by automated tests.
• You embrace agile software development practices, and support others through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• You have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate respectfully with others by listening, communicating clearly, and actively sharing knowledge.
• You always put yourself in your customer's shoes and therefore you take pride in developing user-friendly and high-class features.
