Software Engineer

My Client is hiring a software developer for a 12 Month Fixed term contract.

This role requires a 2 day on-site presence in Dublin 2.

The role focuses on modernizing and rebuilding legacy applications using (frontend) and .NET Core (backend), with deployment to the Azure cloud. It requires full-stack development expertise, close collaboration with business users, and a strong focus on secure, scalable, and compliant solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Rebuild and modernise older web applications.
• Build and maintain scalable web APIs in .NET Core.
• Integrate with SQL Server via Entity Framework Core.
• Implement authentication and role-based access with Azure AD.
• Deploy and manage applications in Azure.
• Support CI/CD, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Work with teams to define and deliver user-friendly solutions.
• Ensure compliance with legal industry data/security standards.

Required Skills:

• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent).
• Proven full-stack experience with .NET Core, React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS.
• Strong skills in C#, REST APIs, Entity Framework Core, SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Git/version control.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills:

• Azure AD, DevOps/CI-CD, Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience with Azure cloud deployment.
• Knowledge of SharePoint, iManage.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO27001).
• Automated testing, and familiarity with other JS frameworks (Angular, Vue).
