Job Summary

A leading technology-driven organization is looking for a Tech Lead Engineer to join their engineering team and take a central role in the design and delivery of modern, cloud-native backend systems.

This is a long-term contract opportunity based in Dublin, perfect for someone with strong technical depth, proven leadership experience, and a passion for building scalable, resilient platforms using Microsoft technologies and Azure cloud services.

Tech Stack

• Backend: .NET Core (C#)
• Cloud: Azure (App Services, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, Event Hubs)
• Architecture: CQRS, Microservices, Event-Driven, NoSQL
• DevOps: GitHub and GitHub Actions
• Data: Cosmos DB, SQL Server, NoSQL

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain highly available backend systems and APIs
• Lead technical discussions and influence key architectural decisions
• Mentor and guide engineers, promoting best practices across the team
• Ensure high standards of code quality, testing, and CI/CD implementation
• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to deliver impactful features

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend development experience using .NET Core
• 2+ years of experience in a Lead Engineer or Technical Lead role
• Strong knowledge of Azure services including App Services, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, and Event Hubs
• Solid experience with CQRS architecture and NoSQL databases
• Hands-on experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions
• Strong grasp of clean architecture principles, performance, and scalability

Nice to Have

• Experience with high-scale, distributed systems
• Familiarity with event sourcing patterns
• Exposure to containerization and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Docker, Bicep, Terraform)
