About Us
Optiml is a PropTech startup with a mission to decarbonize real estate through our decarbonization software. In April 2024, we launched our product in the DACH region and the UK (soon US), and now, we’re at the stage where we need to ramp up our operations to meet demand.
We spun out of ETH Zurich in 2022 and have recently raised a $4M pre-seed extension from top-tier US and EU funds, including Innovation Endeavors (the fund of former Google CEO Eric Schmidt), Planet A, BitStone, and Kompas. Our software has gained significant recognition in the industry lately, winning some of the most prestigious awards for a (PropTech) startup: ULI PropTech Innovation, ZIA PropTech of the Year, W.A. Tasks
- Develop the company’s core API (FastAPI), application logic & workflows.
- Prototype new solutions to solve our customers' problems.
- Collaborate with Customer Support & Sales to build our internal tooling (Retool).
- Own the whole development lifecycle: specs to production implementation.
- Collaborate with peers on architecture, design and code reviews.
Who We Are Looking For
- Highly Self-Motivated: You are able to quickly and efficiently execute tasks, demonstrating strong initiative and self-drive.
- You Get Things Done: You prioritize speed and flexibility, adept at making swift compromises to maintain momentum, while delivering quality results.
- Lateral thinker: You regularly step back to look at the broader picture. Changing the problem statement is sometimes faster and better than investing two weeks in a complex task.
- Analytical and Self-Reflective: You analyze your performance and continuously seek ways to improve.
- Kind and Humorous: You bring kindness and humor to the team, enhancing both morale and collaboration.
- 2+ years of software engineering experience preferred
- Experience building Python APIs, dashboards, LLM based automations
- Track record of shipping high quality features fast
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Swiss or EU citizenship
