Overview
The web developer at Frederique Constant / Alpina is responsible for the maintenance and development of new features for our e-commerce platforms. The role requires expertise in both front-end and back-end development. E-commerce experience is a plus, especially in working with payment gateways or platform integrations.
This will be a fixed-term contract with a duration between 3 months and 1 year, with a start date as soon as possible.
Front-End Responsibilities
The ideal web developer is proficient in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS for front-end development. She/He is also comfortable developing back-end code using Node and PHP. The desired profile is curious, results-oriented, and eager to explore new ways of working by leveraging AI platforms.

The web developer at Frederique Constant / Alpina is responsible for the maintenance and development of new features for our e-commerce platforms. Front-End Responsibilities
- Mockup Implementation Collaborate with designers from the UX/UI phase to technical implementation.
- User Experience Optimization Leverage the technical capabilities of the platforms to develop a seamless shopping experience.
- Digital Activations Develop interactive experiences to support the launch of new products.
- Technical Support Assist editorial teams in using the various CMS & tools.
- Web Services Integration Integrate our websites with external services such as personalization, payment, fraud protection, or digital asset management.
- Data Modeling Define and implement data models using databases or back-end services.
- Server-side Development Create API endpoints or back-end functionalities.

Skills
- Fundamental web development skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Advanced knowledge of Node & PHP
- Proficiency in MVC frameworks; experience with Vue/Nuxt is a plus
- Experience with WordPress or Laravel is a plus
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices and markups (microformats)
- Ability to produce valid, semantic code compliant with accessibility guidelines such as W3C AA
- Proven experience in using animation libraries such as anime.js, GSAP, Motion, or three.js
- Ability to work with web services (JWT, JSON, Passport)
- Experience with headless CMS or GraphQL
- Basic knowledge of infrastructure optimization (Redis, Cloudflare)
