LawTap is a proud member of the LEAP group of companies.

As the newest Engineer working on LawTap, you will start by collaborating closely with LawTap’s founder to gain an in-depth understanding of the product's technical landscape. In the long term, you’ll play a key role in enhancing LawTap’s functionality and will be the primary Engineer overseeing all aspects of development, with support from a wider Engineering team. This is a full-stack role, with approximately 30% of your time focused on enhancing and improving the existing solution, and 70% dedicated to developing new features. Our tech stack includes PHP 8, Symfony Framework, JavaScript, and Aurora MySQL, deployed on AWS.

Your Day-to-day Might Include

• Implementing mobile-first UI enhancements based on design specifications.
• Developing and maintaining Web APIs used by applications such as LEAP and LawLytics.
• Optimizing code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams from Customer Service and DevOps to Product and UX to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

Skills

You are a smart, focused, motivated and hard-working mid-level Developer who wants to make an impact, while expanding your skills. On top of that, you will bring:

• Experience: 2-4 years of professional experience in full stack web development.
• Front End: Proficiency in modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript or TypeScript using modern web development frameworks.
• Backend: Grounding in PHP, whether that's using Symfony or Laravel framework.
• Cloud: Experience with AWS Services (S3, RDS etc.)
• Motivation: Self-motivation and a desire to take ownership of work.
• Attitude: A great attitude, with a passion for delivering excellent service and a readiness to pick up a task, no matter how big or small.
• Problem solver: Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
