Software Engineer

Golang Contractor | €700 to €850 per day | Netherlands Remote

We are hiring experienced Golang engineers to join a fast moving platform team building large scale distributed systems. You will work on complex services at real scale with a collaborative group that prizes code quality, reliability and clear ownership.

The role

As a Golang Contractor you will design and deliver fault tolerant services and APIs that run on Kubernetes and the public cloud. You will contribute to system design and technical strategy while shipping production features on a steady cadence.

What you will do

• Build and optimise high throughput Golang services and event driven workflows

• Ship to Kubernetes with Docker and CI and CD

• Work with Kafka, gRPC and REST to connect services across the platform

• Own performance, testing and observability including metrics, logs and tracing

• Partner with product and SRE to turn requirements into reliable software

What we are looking for

• Five years plus of backend engineering with strong Golang in production

• Solid understanding of concurrency, profiling, testing and system design

• Experience with Kubernetes and at least one cloud provider AWS or GCP or Azure

• Strong SQL skills Postgres or MySQL and familiarity with Redis or similar caching

• Clear communication in English and a pragmatic approach to delivery

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure as code

• Observability with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus or Grafana

• Domain exposure in payments, ads, streaming or other high scale systems

Contract

• Length six months with extension

• Location hybrid in the Netherlands Amsterdam or Randstad or remote within the EU

• Start date ASAP

• Right to work required sponsorship not available for contracts
