We at Holycode are currently seeking an ambitious and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to work full-time on the Luchgate team.

Lunchgate AG is a SaaS scale-up company based in the heart of Zurich, Switzerland. They’re revolutionizing the way restaurants manage, market and sell their capacity to deliver exceptional guest experiences. As they grow their team, we are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer, who is willing to work within an international team of software engineers located in their head-quarter in Zurich, Switzerland. Help them to create the next generation platform, implement new features and build an even better product. Responsibilities:

• We focus on building high quality code using concepts from functional programming, event sourcing, and devops practices. Your responsibilities include:
• Work with our product team and engineers to build and deploy new services and features (mostly in Java or Kotlin)
• Take an active part in the technical design of the solutions we build
• Participate in maintaining and evolving existing code
• Contribute to our infrastructure (on AWS), CI/CD pipeline (Github), and development practices
• Strengthen the team with your experience and expertise

Requirements and skills:

• Master’s Degree in Software Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in Kotlin, Scala, or functional Java
• Strong proficiency with Functional Programming, Algebraic
• Data Types, and Event Sourcing/CQRS Curiosity and communication skills Passion for teamwork, code quality, and agile techniques
• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering
• Proficient in both written and spoken English

• Experience with AWS and Terraform

• Java, CQRS, AWS, Terraform
