Senior Java Backend developer to SEB Kort I Stockholm

SEB Kort is looking for an experienced, technically strong and driven senior Java developer with deep understanding of modern backend architecture and API-driven development. You are passionate about building robust, secure and scalable systems and thrive solving complex technical challenges as well as sharing your knowledge with others. Joining our dynamic team, you will play a key role in driving our digital transformation and integration journey.

About The Role

As a senior Java developer, you will be part of a cross-functional agile team, building and maintaining scalable and secure back-end solutions that support our wide range of card and payment products. You will play a key role in driving technical decisions, improving code quality and ensuring our solutions follow best practice in future proof solutions, security, performance and stability. Also mentoring colleagues and actively participating in architecture and strategic discussions.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• API and Java design and development – Latest Java version
• Design and build micro services and BFF’s
• Be up to date with the latest technologies and actively work with them in your day-to-day role. Your expertise reflects a deep understanding of current industry trends, and you are staying ahead of the curve.
• Take an active role in sharing your knowledge and contribute to modernizing and improving the codebase.
• Ensuring high standards in code quality, testing, documentation, and system performance
  
  

Who You Are

We believe you are a senior developer who combines strong technical skills with excellent communication abilities. You are a problem-solver and system thinker who takes initiative and contributes to the bigger picture. You are comfortable discussing architecture and new unexplored solutions with both the ability to zoom in on the details while maintaining a clear view of the overall goal and how to get there in the long run.

You Have

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Java, API development and design
• You are up to date with the latest technologies and actively working with them in your day-to-day role. Your expertise reflects a deep understanding of current industry trends and you’re passionate about staying ahead of the curve.
• Solid experience with Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, Kafka
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (Google and Azure) and Docker, OpenShift
• Test: Junit 5, Mockito, Testcontainers
• Experience working with DevOps practices, Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
