Position: Senior PHP Developer

Haliburg Group is seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Senior PHP Developer to lead the development of custom web applications — including booking and reservation systems — and WordPress-based solutions from initial planning through to deployment.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in custom PHP development, MVC frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter), WordPress plugin/theme customization, server management, and CI/CD implementation using Git and Bitbucket Pipelines.

You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensure exceptional code quality, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions.

• Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle of multiple projects — from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Design and develop custom PHP applications, including booking and reservation systems.
• Build and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to project needs.
• Develop responsive layouts and templates independently, even without design prototypes.
• Implement and maintain Bitbucket Pipelines (CI/CD) for automated deployment and testing workflows.
• Conduct unit testing and ensure code quality before deployment.
• Manage and optimize Linux-based servers (Apache/Nginx, PHP, MySQL, SSL, cron jobs, backups).
• Handle Git version control and branching strategies using Bitbucket.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and QA teams for seamless project execution.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely solutions.
• Ensure adherence to best practices for code quality, security, and scalability.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of codebases and deployment workflows.

• Strong expertise in PHP (7/8), MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery.
• Proven experience in custom PHP development, particularly in booking or reservation systems.
• Deep understanding of WordPress architecture, including custom plugin and theme development.
• Proficiency with Elementor, custom widgets, and theme integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Git, Bitbucket, and Bitbucket Pipelines for CI/CD workflows.
• Experience in unit testing, debugging, and code review.
• Strong knowledge of server management (Linux/Ubuntu, Apache/Nginx, SSH, DNS, SSL).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under tight deadlines.
• Experience in performance optimization, security hardening, and SEO best practices.
• Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React).
