Job Summary:
A highly skilled and experienced Systems and IT Infrastructure Engineer. The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of hands-on experience across IT products (MS, Oracle, etc.), networking, infrastructure, cloud platforms, virtualization, and cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution engineering through design, deploy, and maintain enterprise infrastructure systems, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms.
- Administer and optimize Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and group policies.
- Manage, diagnose, and monitor networking infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
- Deploy and manage on-perm and on-cloud infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, hybrid) across AWS and Azure environments.
- Implement and manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Ensure network and data security through proper configurations, monitoring tools, and incident response.
- Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning and execution.
- Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to support infrastructure such as code (IaC) and automation initiatives.
- Maintain documentation and diagrams for infrastructure architecture, processes, and procedures.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and security threats, recommending improvements as needed.
- Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems design and deployment, administration, and networking.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewall configuration, and enterprise-level routing/switching.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or both (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Azure VMs, Azure AD, etc.).
- Proven expertise with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, SIEM, IDS/IPS, and penetration testing tools (e.g., Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp Suite).
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- GIS/Esri software knowledge is a plus.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect / SysOps Administrator
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Cisco CCNA
- CompTIA Security+ or CASP+
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
