Contractor HR Assistant, Toronto, Canada
Role Overview:
Provide administrative support to the Canadian HR team in Toronto, focusing on HR policies, practices, and programs. Assist with the implementation of HR programs, and support compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Canadian HR team on HR policies, practices, and programs
- Assist with documentation and communication related to HR initiatives
- Liaise with talent acquisition team with focus on supporting background check processes
- Assist with compliance activities related to employment equity, AODA, pay equity, and employment standard
- Perform other HR administrative duties and projects as required
Qualifications:
- Business degree with a focus on Human Resources or equivalent (CHRP designation preferred
- Minimum 2 years? Canadian HR experience in a Human Resources Assistant/Advisor role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Good judgment and creative problem-solving abilities
- Experience with Workday or other HRIS is an asset
The pay rate that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $28-33hr CAD
