Associate Payments Business Analyst
Role Overview
We are seeking a Associate Payments Business Analyst to join our growing digital banking and payments team. In this role, you will support the design, development, and enhancement of next-generation payment systems and digital banking platforms across the APAC region. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and technical teams to translate business needs into clear functional requirements and help shape innovative payment solutions.
This position is ideal for junior professionals with a foundation in financial services or fintech, and a strong interest in digital payments, cross-border transactions, and banking innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business users and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for payment solutions such as FAST, PayNow, SWIFT, and cross-border transfers.
- Map and analyze payment workflows, identifying areas for improvement in efficiency, automation, and user experience.
- Work in agile squads with developers, testers, and product owners to support end-to-end delivery of new payment features.
- Translate business needs into user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) – design test cases, validate results, and ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Stay updated on payment regulations and compliance requirements across APAC markets.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and internal documentation for knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Associate Consultant, ideally in banking, fintech, or payment domains.
- Familiarity with payment systems, transaction banking, or settlement processes.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with Excel, Visio, or JIRA/Confluence is a plus.
- Proactive learner, able to work both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
