We are seeking a Technical Project Manager - Data & Cloud to drive the successful delivery of enterprise data initiatives at this leading financial institution. Acting as the bridge between business and technology, you will partner closely with data scientists, application teams, and IT functions to ensure data projects are executed efficiently and aligned with strategic objectives.

In this pivotal role, you will manage end-to-end project delivery, coordinate across multiple teams, and ensure solutions are delivered on time and within scope. You will be accountable for driving project excellence, stakeholder alignment, and ensuring the effective use of cloud technologies to enable scalable and secure data platforms.

Responsibilities:

As the Technical Project Manager, your primary responsibilities will include managing data-focused projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment between business requirements and technical implementation. You will:

  • Collaborate with data science, application, and IT teams to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Translate business and data requirements into actionable technical specifications.
  • Partner with senior business stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and ensure outcomes meet organizational goals.
  • Serve as the key liaison between data teams and technology (architecture, engineering, and infrastructure).
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in data management, cloud architecture and project governance.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in project management, ideally within data, cloud, or enterprise technology environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with proven experience engaging senior leaders and data science teams.
  • Experience as a Technical Business Analyst, gathering and translating data requirements for data lakes or data warehouses.
  • Solid understanding of data and IT concepts, with curiosity and interest in how data enables business outcomes.
  • Cloud experience is essential - with exposure to Microsoft Azure (Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or AWS experience also valued).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for technology and innovation, with the ability to connect business objectives to technical execution.
