About The Role
At Commure + Athelas, we are looking for a Software Engineer specializing in Browser Automation & AI to help streamline healthcare workflows through intelligent automation. You will work on building AI-powered browser automation solutions that integrate seamlessly into clinical workflows, reducing administrative burdens on providers. This role requires expertise in automating web interactions, extracting structured data from complex web environments, and integrating AI models for intelligent automation and decision-making.
This full-time position requires working 5 days a week in our Mountain View, CA, office.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain browser automation workflows using Playwright, Puppeteer, or Selenium
- Integrate AI-powered assistants into web automation processes, leveraging OpenAI’s API, LangChain, or other LLMs to handle unstructured data and optimize decision-making
- Design reliable and scalable automation solutions that streamline clinical and administrative processes in healthcare
- Build intelligent form-filling, data extraction, and process automation tools for healthcare workflows
- Work closely with AI engineers, backend teams, and product managers to deliver seamless automation solutions
- Ensure automation solutions are secure, robust, and maintainable
- Stay up to date with emerging trends in browser automation, AI-driven automation, and healthcare technology
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Foundational knowledge of engineering principles and system design
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Javascript, React, and SQL.
- Experience building 0-1 products
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities
- Eagerness to collaborate and ability to engage confidently with clients
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, client-focused healthcare environment

Compensation Range: $120K - $150K
