Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on all aspects of defense supply chain operations, including planning, sourcing, logistics, and sustainment.
- Analyze supply chain performance and develop strategies to reduce risk, improve efficiency, and ensure timely delivery of mission-critical materials and components.
- Lead the design and implementation of supply chain frameworks that align with program schedules, contractual requirements, and defense readiness objectives.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, quality, and program management teams to synchronize supply chain activities.
- Evaluate and manage supplier performance, including audits, quality reviews, compliance with defense standards, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Suppo1t inventory optimization, demand forecasting, and lifecycle logistics planning for military platforms and systems.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations such as FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and the Berry Amendment.
- Utilize ERP, MRP, and logistics systems to track and manage material flows and supply chain metrics.
- Advise on supply chain resilience, including contingency planning, cyber risk, and geopolitical sourcing concerns.
- Prepare and deliver reports, dashboards, and briefings for senior leadership, program offices, and government customers.
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain roles within the defense, aerospace, or government contracting sectors.
- Strong knowledge of DoD supply chain regulations, acquisition policies, and logistics frameworks.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), logistics tracking tools, and data analysis platforms.
- Demonstrated success in leading supply chain optimization and risk mitigation initiatives.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Business Administration. Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, CLTD, or PMP.
- Experience supporting major defense acquisition programs or international military logistics.
- Familiarity with NATO supply standards and global defense supply chain networks. Experience with digital supply chain transfo1mation, including AI/ML-based forecasting and blockchain in logistics.
