About Obinex

Obinex is the first fully gamified centralized exchange (CEX), where finance meets game mechanics and NFT-powered experiences. We’re building the platform that will redefine how millions of users interact with trading, staking, and digital economies.

Our MVP is in development, and we’re assembling a global founding team. Now we’re looking for a Rust Engineer to build the core systems of Obinex from day one.

What You’ll Do

As a Product Owner at Obinex, you’ll bridge the gap between vision and execution, translating complex requirements into clear, actionable development plans. You’ll work closely with our Product Manager, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure we deliver a secure, high-performance, and regulatory-compliant crypto trading experience.

This role demands both analytical precision and practical execution — you’ll own the product backlog, facilitate agile processes, and turn business goals into sprint-ready deliverables.

You’ll:

• Own and manage the product backlog — ensure priorities align with product vision, compliance requirements, and technical feasibility.
• Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation for engineering.
• Work closely with engineers, designers, and compliance to ensure requirements are well-understood and delivered.
• Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and reviews to ensure clarity and velocity.
• Balance business needs, regulatory constraints, and user experience.
• Identify and mitigate delivery risks early through strong communication and planning.
• Track feature performance post-release and continuously refine based on user feedback and data.

Requirements (Mandatory)

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Technical Business Analyst, preferably in fintech, trading, or crypto.
• Proven success in managing agile delivery and writing clear, testable requirements.
• Deep understanding of crypto exchanges, wallets, trading systems, or payment flows.
• Familiarity with compliance-driven products (KYC, AML, FIU reporting).
• Excellent communicator — able to translate between business, legal, and engineering languages.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional remote teams.
• Analytical thinker — you make decisions backed by data and user insight.

Nice to Have

• Experience with NFTs, staking, or gamification mechanics.
• Understanding of event-driven systems and API-driven architectures.
• Background in regulated fintech or global product launches.
