We are seeking a highly motivated and disciplined PHP Laravel Developer Intern to join our dynamic and distributed engineering team. This is a robust, full-time, 12-month program designed to provide significant hands-on experience, transforming foundational programming knowledge into professional, industry-ready software development expertise.
β¨ Key Responsibilities and Learning Objectives
The intern will be actively involved in the full software development lifecycle, receiving mentorship and working on mission-critical applications.
Development & Engineering
Back-End Development: Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of modular and scalable web applications using the Laravel Framework and PHP.
Database Integration: Write and optimize efficient SQL queries and manage schema migrations using Laravel's features.
API Development: Support the creation and integration of RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between front-end interfaces and back-end services.
Code Quality: Participate in code reviews, fix reported bugs, and ensure the developed features adhere to high coding standards, including SOLID principles.
Collaboration & Process
Agile Participation: Engage in Agile processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Version Control: Utilize Git and GitHub/GitLab for version control, branching, and collaborative development.
Documentation: Create and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation, feature specifications, and architecture notes.
Testing: Contribute to writing unit and feature tests (e.g., using PHPUnit) to ensure the reliability and stability of the application.

Technical Skills
- Strong foundational knowledge of PHP and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Basic theoretical or project experience with the Laravel Framework (Eloquent ORM, Blade Templating, Routing).
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
- Working knowledge of relational databases, particularly MySQL.
- Familiarity with the MVC (Model-View-Controller) architectural pattern.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, demonstrating self-discipline and excellent time management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective virtual collaboration.
- A strong passion for technology and a proactive willingness to learn new tools and frameworks quickly.
