Senior Android Engineer (Remote - Latam)

This role offers the opportunity to design and develop high-quality, modular, and performant Android applications for a dynamic and distributed team. You will influence architecture decisions, prototype new features, and implement best practices in modern Android development. The position emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, mentorship of junior developers, and continuous improvement of development processes. You will work with cutting-edge technologies such as Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and architectural patterns like MVVM or Clean Architecture. This fully remote role allows flexibility while fostering a supportive and engaging team culture. Strong English communication skills are required, as the position involves collaborating with US clients and global colleagues.

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain well-structured, modular, and performant native Android applications
• Contribute to architecture planning, feature prototyping, and UI/UX redesigns
• Apply modern software engineering patterns, development best practices, and code review processes
• Write unit and UI tests, conduct refactoring, and ensure application stability
• Collaborate with API and backend teams to ensure efficient integration
• Mentor junior developers and actively participate in knowledge sharing
• Continuously improve development processes and promote engineering excellence
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience with Kotlin and Java for Android native development
• Strong proficiency with Android API level 23+ and adaptive UI design across multiple devices
• Familiarity with at least one architectural pattern: MVVM, MVC, VIPER, or Clean (Onion Architecture)
• Experience in feature prototyping, redesign, debugging, and problem-solving
• Strong English communication skills for collaboration with international clients and teams
• Passion for mentoring, collaboration, and continuous learning

• Advanced knowledge of Jetpack Compose and modular app development
• Experience working in fully remote, distributed teams across Latin America
