Short Description: API Solution Designer

Location: Sydney, NSW AU

Salary: AUD 150,742- 171,215 ( Annual Gross)

Please Note:- The above salary range is only indicative and maybe subject to suitable enhancements, based on internal company processes.

Job Summary:

API Developers design and develop APIs to be consumed internally and externally for sharing information and data in accordance with the standards and frameworks put in place

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develops solutions to the intended solution architecture for APIs.
• Ensures that documentation is produced for solutions built to enable the team to support the solutions in production and for future change.
• Works closely with business owner and analysts to ensure outcomes are met when developing solutions.
• Provides input in the solution design by contributing to continuous delivery and improvement opportunities.
• Works under the direction of the Scrum Master and Product Owners from a day to day perspective, with technical and career direction provided by the Customer Solutions Technical Lead
• Collaborates with all members of the agile development teams.
• Ensures reuse of solutions and components of solutions in line with best practices.

Skill / Competencies / Experience:

ESSENTIAL

• Good knowledge of technology landscape to be able to guide team.
• Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline.

PREFERRED

• At least 15 years of experience in Information Technology.
• At least 12+ years of experience in API Development, Rest API Concepts, Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, Postman, Junit, TDD, Bamboo, Maven, Artefactory, Git, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Swagger/YAML/JSON
• Jenkins, Gitlab/Github/Bitbucket highly desirable, integrating solutions using RESTful interfaces, or experience with integrating with third party solutions, security concepts & vulnerabilities on APIs & Web applications and how to mitigate and avoid them
• Experience in software development life cycle
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
