This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Wordpress Developer in Latin America.

This role offers the opportunity to lead the development, maintenance, and optimization of high-quality WordPress websites for a variety of clients. You will be responsible for creating secure, scalable, and SEO-optimized websites, implementing custom themes and plugins, and integrating third-party services. Collaborating closely with UI/UX designers and stakeholders, you will ensure that websites are visually appealing, fully responsive, and high-performing. This position requires a proactive problem-solver who can troubleshoot complex issues, implement best coding practices, and provide technical support. The role is fully remote for LATAM-based professionals and offers a dynamic environment where your work directly impacts client success and growth.

Accountabilities

  • Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements
  • Optimize website performance for speed, SEO, and cross-browser compatibility
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress, plugins, and hosting environments
  • Implement responsive design and ensure websites are mobile-friendly
  • Conduct website audits to improve security, performance, and SEO
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate designs into functional WordPress websites
  • Manage version control (Git) and adhere to best coding practices
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance website functionality
  • Ensure website security, backups, and regular updates
  • Support Pardot forms, landing pages, and email templates implementation
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams when needed


Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in WordPress development
  • Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL
  • Strong knowledge of WordPress core, themes, and plugins
  • Experience with custom theme and plugin development
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party integrations
  • Proficiency with version control systems such as Git
  • Knowledge of website performance optimization and security best practices
  • Experience with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Divi
  • Understanding of SEO principles and implementation in WordPress
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with implementing Pardot forms or similar platforms (HubSpot). Preferred:
  • Experience with WooCommerce and e-commerce website development
  • Familiarity with headless WordPress and decoupled architectures
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js
  • Experience with server management and cloud hosting platforms


Benefits

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern Time
  • Salary: 2,500 - 3,500 USD per month
  • 100% remote for candidates based in Latin America
  • Independent contractor contract
