Traction Software Development Engineer (m/w/d)

In the framework of your consulting mission in collaboration with our partner, global leader Excellence for Rail traction systems, you are the independent expert in Traction Software Development.

The teams develop expertise in complete development cycle of the embedded software for Traction converter, by assuring the works of design and test of the software for Command-Control.

As a Traction Software Development Engineer with the help of a multicultural team, you will:

  • Design software, realize integration activities and generate embedded and simulation for traction applicative software, based on functional requirements specification documents (FRS)
  • Co-ordinate Software Design for Traction/Auxiliary system with Software and Control team for whole train and be the one who support/lead during technical review or for training with the final customer
  • Support the Traction Control Engineer for the functional requirement specification writing
  • Write the software requirement specification according to the functional requirement specification & the quality documentation
  • Support the validation activities on test bench & the commissioning team and Traction/Auxiliary control teams

Expected expertise:

  • Degree in electrical/electrotechnical engineering (power electronics)
  • Advanced knowledge with Integrated Development Environment with CEI 61131 Languages (Control Build, Matlab/Simulink)
  • Basic knowledge in power control electronic & in Control system
  • Able to travel for a period of 10 days 4 times a year
  • Good written and verbal skills in both English and French are mandatory
