Machine Learning Engineer – Clinical Development

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Machine Learning Engineer to lead AI and machine learning initiatives within complex clinical development projects. In this role, you will design, build, and deploy innovative ML and Generative AI solutions that streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of clinical operations.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, develop intelligent systems, and integrate state-of-the-art AI technologies into real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Generative AI assistants to support clinical development processes.
• Build and maintain robust data pipelines for parsing and processing complex clinical documents (document intelligence, entity recognition, etc.).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable data insights.
• Research, evaluate, and implement advanced AI/ML models and frameworks.
• Develop backend components and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Continuously test, refine, and optimize AI-driven solutions to ensure scalability, reliability, and accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience delivering AI/ML-based products, particularly in Generative AI (LLMs, embeddings, etc.).
• Experience within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or clinical development sectors is highly desirable.
• Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with Git version control.
• Experience with FastAPI and modern ML frameworks (LangChain, Transformers, etc.).
• Solid understanding of data analysis using Pandas, NumPy, and related libraries.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure preferred), ideally Azure AI; familiarity with Kubernetes is an advantage.
