Company Overview
An Irish B2B software services company, operating in the technology sector, is seeking to appoint a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its senior leadership team.
The company operates at the intersection of operations and technology, providing bespoke software solutions for major US clients, alongside the development of proprietary AI-driven products. They are looking to appoint a new leader to focus on operational strategy.
This is an opportunity for a proven operator to take on the COO position as second-in-command to the CEO.
Role Overview
The COO will be responsible for driving operational excellence across the company’s services and product divisions. This is a permanent leadership position suited to candidates with prior COO or senior operational experience in SaaS or software services environments.
The successful candidate will partner closely with the CEO to deliver strategy, scale operational capabilities, and implement systems and processes to support the company’s continued growth. The role is fully remote, with occasional travel required.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO to shape and deliver strategic and operational priorities.
- Lead and oversee delivery operations across both custom software services and product lines.
- Manage and scale distributed teams to ensure effective execution.
- Build and optimize operational frameworks, systems, and processes.
- Act as a key interface between commercial strategy and technical delivery.
- Represent the company externally in client, partner, and investor contexts as required.
- Participate in occasional travel for leadership offsites and client meetings.
Experience
- Proven experience as COO or in a senior operational leadership role within a SaaS or software services company.
- Strong understanding of technical operations, ideally with a background in engineering or product-led organizations.
- Comfortable operating in a fully remote, distributed environment.
- Strategic mindset combined with hands-on operational capability.
- Experience gained within larger technology companies (e.g., Microsoft, Amazon, or similar) is highly valued.
- Collaborative, pragmatic, and accustomed to working in fast-scaling environments.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive compensation in the range of €160,000 – €200,000 DOE
