Position: NOC Infrastructure Support
Type: Day-rate contract
Location: Dublin/Hybrid
Please note, you must be based in Ireland with the relevant visa to be considered for this role.
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled NOC Infrastructure Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading organisation based in Dublin. The successful candidate will monitor, maintain, and support critical network and infrastructure systems, ensuring optimal uptime and rapid incident response.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network and infrastructure systems using enterprise monitoring tools, identifying and responding to alerts in real time
- Diagnose and resolve first and second-line incidents related to network connectivity, servers, and core infrastructure services
- Escalate and coordinate complex issues with senior engineers or external vendors, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, changes, and system configurations within the NOC knowledge base
- Support continuous improvement by analysing recurring issues, recommending preventive measures, and assisting with network and system upgrades
Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a NOC infrastructure support environment
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios, or similar)
- Exposure to network hardware and systems administration (Cisco, Juniper, Windows/Linux servers)
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills
