What We Offer

Nasdaq is currently seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our Trade Surveillance Team in Vilnius.

Nasdaq’s Trade Surveillance service powers surveillance and compliance for over 150 market participants across 65 markets globally. Scalable to millions of transactions and flexible to manage several outstanding data sources, NTS Surveillance holistically examines scenarios across multiple venues and asset classes.

As Senior Data Analyst you will be conducting an analysis of existing data flows used by the NTS application. You will then collaborate with other colleagues and a variety of global multi-functional teams to implement changes to said data flows that would address client issues and ensure the client receives the quality service Nasdaq strives to deliver through incident management, accountability, and professional communication.

What You Will Do

  • Prioritize and handle all reported stock exchange/trading activity data issues via an internal ticketing system (JIRA)
  • Investigate and resolve reported data issues using Linux and other servers/data management tools
  • Serve as domain expert for high-impact and increased issues
  • Make final decisions on critical blocking issues to ensure timely resolution
  • Conduct regular mentorship and knowledge-sharing sessions to strengthen team capabilities
  • Represent Product Support in multi-functional technical meetings with leadership
  • Collaborate with global teams to schedule releases and deploy bug fixes

What You Will Need

  • Strong Linux terminal skills; experienced in data extraction
  • Skilled in resolving complex data issues: conversion, normalization, reconciliation
  • Background in data analysis or support within trading/finance/market infrastructure
  • Proficient with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tracking/documentation tools
  • Excellent English communication; able to explain technical topics clearly
  • Proven leadership in handling technical challenges and mentoring peers
  • Adaptable to fast-paced, high-pressure environments with shifting priorities

What Would Be Advantageous

  • Knowledge of market data, trading data, and industry-standard protocols (e.g., FIX, ITCH, OMNET)
  • Previous experience working in a globally distributed team
  • Familiarity with release and QA management processes
  • Understanding of incident management and critical issue processes in a product support environment
  • Basic proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for data analysis or automation tasks

This is a full-time permanent position located in Vilnius. The company allows the flexibility to work half a week on-site and remotely (Hybrid model).
