Senior Cyber Security Consultant – Rotterdam | €50,000 – €75,000 + Excellent Benefits | Hybrid (2 Days In Office)

As a Senior Cyber Security Consultant, you will play a key role in advising executive and board-level stakeholders on strategic cyber risk, governance, and digital resilience. This opportunity sits within a globally operating consultancy with a strong presence in the Netherlands, supporting clients across sectors in strengthening their cyber maturity and managing digital risk.

In this position, the focus is on strategic advisory work rather than technical implementation. You will guide organisations through complex cyber challenges, working with international teams and engaging directly with senior decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver cyber maturity assessments and risk evaluations

• Advise clients on governance, compliance, and cyber risk management

• Support M&A activities with cyber due diligence and strategic insights

• Prepare and present reports for boards, investors, and regulators

• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal knowledge development

• Work with leading frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001

Requirements

• Minimum of five years’ experience in cyber risk, M&A, or governance consulting

• Strong understanding of NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks

• Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to translate complex risks into clear business insights

• Proven ability to manage projects and advise clients independently

• Fluent in Dutch and proficient in English

• Based in the Netherlands with eligibility to work in the EU
