At our location in Slovenia we are looking for an Optical Engineer (m/f/d).


Main Activities

  • Design and validation of the optical systems of the product in line within legal and customer requirements and project deadlines. 
  • Design of the product and optical components including ensuring meeting customer requirements. Special focus in the fields of quality and cost. 
  • Development of technical solutions to make our concepts attractive and competitive. 
  • Activities planning and tracking to ensure that deadlines are met. 
  • Technical interface to customer for technical subjects, break down and cascade internally customer requests and needs. 
  • Integration and participation on a multidisciplinary team to achieve the project targets. 
  • Develop and implement innovative optical concepts for automotive lightning that combine manufacturability, modularity, style, cost effectiveness, and robust performance characteristics.  
  • Support development of intellectual property via Concept Development Process. 
  • Perform early Optical Feasibility and product development in support of customer vehicle programs 
  • Optimize optical designs by performing design analysis with extensive utilization of lighting CAE tools. 
  • Support component testing to evaluate photometric performance. Provide risk analysis and design changes for current- and new-model lamps.

Language
