At our location in Slovenia we are looking for an Electronic Engineer (m/f/d).


Main Activities

• Provide electrical engineering design, development, and production support for new exterior automotive lighting products in order to meet program timing and cost objectives 

• Maintain communication channels with external customers, internal project teams and suppliers 

• Capture and analyze customer requirements for lamp electronics, LED PCBAs, LED driver electronics and other electrical components. 

• Provide detailed HW design of electrical circuit schematic based on design library or design new circuits as needed by working with project team. Circuits may include analogue LED driver modules, headlamp control modules, LED matrix drivers, DC/DC-SMPS, microcontrollers and LED arrays. Expected output: eBOM, HW design, layout considerations, PCB design and definition of it’s critical characteristics 

• Circuit modelling and analysis, simulation of circuitry and digital design validation, Worst Case Circuit Analysis and LED knowledge 

• Work with Mechanical Engineers and Senior Product Engineers to ensure high quality circuit board and harness designs

Cooperate and guide layout services to ensure robust implementation of HW design into end product

• WorkSupport electronics testing and validation to ensure design meets OEM requirements  

Act as single point of contact for all electrical related topics for assigned projects and  maintain  documentation according the defined process 

• Work with electronic manufacturing suppliers (EMS) for manufacturing and possible co-development of electronics  

• Work with electronics component engineering and purchasing to create new parts in database for new circuits 

Support Design-to-cost activities to ensure best cost solutions 

Support DVP&R development, DFMEA, design rules, new component selection and support development of test plan 


Desired skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechatronic engineering,  mechanical engineering or equivalent experience 
  • Working level knowledge of modeling electronic circuits using simulation tools such as PSpice, LabView, LTSpice, Matlab, KiCad, Altium Designer or others. 
  • Fluent in the use of Altium tool.
  • Familiar or knowledge of engineering tools such as Teamcenter, DOORS NG, Vector CANoe, Catia or other 3D viewers 
  • Design of Power Electronics and LED driver circuits: Switching Mode Power Supplies (SMPS), DC-DC converters, Linear regulators in automotive environment 
  • Familiar with embedded systems like microcontrollers 
  • Knowledge of environmental and EMC testing methods 
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills 
  • Capable of working in a multi-disciplinary group of Optical, Mechanical and Electronics Engineers 
  • Knowledge of general automotive requirements and Bus-Systems (CAN/LIN) 
  • Experiences in Low Level Software Development C/C++ is a plus  
  • Creativity and open mindset to realize projects with an agile project approach 
  • Good management skills, efficient communication, and analytical skills 
  • Precise and concise written communication skills 
  • Good computer skills (Office, CAD designs, …) 
  • Teamwork 
  • Passion for the automotive industry. 


Language

Fluency in English is mandatory.
