We at Better are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to join our team and help us build the most advanced digital health platform and technological solutions on the market that already supports over 30 million patients across more than 20 markets worldwide.

Skills and expertise you need to excel in this position:

• Work experience as a DevOps engineer or similar software engineering role
• Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal
• Experience with Ansible for configuration management and environment bootstrapping
• Experience with scripting (such as Bash or Python or Go)
• Knowledge of Azure Cloud – resource provisioning, networking, identity (Entra ID), and cost management, experience with AWS is an advantage but no a requirement
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes – day-to-day operations, upgrades, debugging, scaling, and observability
• Understanding of infrastructure monitoring and observability (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Loki)
• Proven experience with GitOps practices and tools – ideally FluxCD, ArgoCD is a plus.

How will you drive success in this role through your daily actions?

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure on Azure, with a strong focus on Kubernetes
• Build and manage secure, scalable Docker environments for production and development workloads
• Administer internal and production infrastructure, including Better’s private cloud, domain services, and backup strategies
• Work with product teams to develop automated product deployments, updates, and identify production issues
• Contribute to the development of automation tools, infrastructure-as-code using Ansible and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, Go)
• Improve our GitOps workflows using FluxCD and GitLab CI/CD to ensure smooth, automated, and reliable deployments
• Develop and maintain monitoring solutions and dashboards (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Loki)
• Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency
• Manage internal and production-grade infrastructure, including Better’s private cloud, domain servers, and backup strategies.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, applying strong diagnostic skills and cross-team collaboration
