General Overview:

Intelligent Solutions has partnered with a leading insurance company to hire a Senior Data Analyst. This role is responsible for designing, building, and operationalizing the company’s data infrastructure and analytics ecosystem, supporting business intelligence across health, life, marine, and aviation lines of business.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Engineering & Infrastructure

• Design and implement scalable ETL pipelines across internal and third-party systems (core platforms, TPAs, reinsurers, CRMs).
• Support the design of data warehouse/Lakehouse architectures using modern cloud tools (Azure, AWS, etc.).
• Develop reusable data models and transformation logic ensuring consistency and reliability.
• Integrate policy, claims, medical coding, and financial datasets for unified reporting and analytics.

Business Analytics & Reporting

• Build automated dashboards and KPIs across underwriting, claims, finance, and customer experience.
• Deliver actionable insights through data visualizations using Power BI or Tableau.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Develop analytics frameworks for monitoring pricing performance, loss ratios, and channel efficiency.

Data Governance & Compliance

• Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and exception handling within ETL processes.
• Maintain documentation on data lineage and ownership.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory standards (DHA, IFU, CBUAE) and audit readiness.
• Data Science & Advanced Analytics
• Prepare structured datasets for predictive modelling (e.g. fraud detection, lapse prediction, health risk scoring).
• Support model development, feature engineering, and data enrichment in collaboration with the Head of Data Analytics.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in data engineering or analytics, preferably in insurance or financial services.
• Advanced skills in SQL, Power BI/Tableau, and ETL tools; proficiency in Python or R.
• Knowledge of insurance data structures (ICD-10, CPT codes) and regulatory reporting in the UAE.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a customer-centric, “make-it-happen” mindset.
• Collaborative, detail-oriented, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
