Our challenge
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in capital markets to oversee and execute projects within our financial services organization. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of capital markets operations, regulations, and technology platforms.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Mississauga, ON is CAD $115k – CAD $120k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budget allocation.
- Coordinate project activities, tasks, and milestones, ensuring adherence to deadlines and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
- Manage project budget, expenses, and resource allocation effectively.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of project management experience in capital markets, investment banking, or financial services.
- Deep understanding of capital market products, trading platforms, clearing and settlement processes, and regulatory environment.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects within financial institutions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello) and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
Preferred, but not required:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Good program/project management skills, including interviewing clients, process mapping, project planning, and stakeholder communication.
- Good presentation skills and experience supporting successful project proposals.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, application specific certifications (SAP/ Oracle/ SFDC etc.) are desirable but not required.
