About The Backend Developer Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate is a strong JavaScript developer with hands-on experience, eager to work in an agile environment, and passionate about building scalable, secure, and efficient platforms. You will collaborate closely with engineers, assist the Lead Developer, and ensure alignment with Government technology standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate is a strong JavaScript developer with hands-on experience, eager to work in an agile environment, and passionate about building scalable, secure, and efficient platforms. You will collaborate closely with engineers, assist the Lead Developer, and ensure alignment with Government technology standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead on agile development and delivery of solutions.
- Function within a team of like-minded engineers to ensure that the platform is operating optimally in terms of availability, capacity, security & business continuity.
- Plan, manage, implement project and operation to Government technology standards and policy.
- Review and recommend relevant industry best practices for Government IT infrastructure/SMP for adoption.
- Strong javascript Developer with actual hands on experience
- Motivated individual willing to learn new technologies
- Working experience with ServiceNow / equivalent platforms
- Javascript (Node JS, ReactJS typescript, Generic javascript)
- CSS
- Angular JS
- AWS experience (EKS, serverless)
- Understands and able to troubleshoot basic network and systems issues
- Full Stack development
- Able to communicate well
- Ability to manage and follow through projects
- Technical Skills
- Python
- Bash scripting
- Powershell scripting
- ITIL
