Job Summary (Android Engineer – Infosys/Apple, Sunnyvale, CA)

  • Minimum 6+ years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
  • Strong proficiency in Android development using Java or Kotlin.
  • Experience building APIs for integrating Maps into 3rd party apps, including knowledge of Kotlin, JNI boundary, NDK, concurrency, and thread management.
  • Familiarity with system architecture and API design principles.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) tools and processes.
  • Ability to collaborate and iterate on solutions within multi-functional teams.
  • Skilled at eliciting requirements from clients and translating them into scalable, reliable code.
  • Experience designing, reviewing, and implementing 3rd party developer APIs and tools.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with teams such as Human Interaction Design, Services, Data, and other Engineering groups.

Preferred/Good To Have

  • Experience developing user interfaces with Android UI or Jetpack Compose.
  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and writing testable code.
  • Track record of building new software components from the ground up.
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or other spatial visualization systems.
  • Familiarity with Objective-C and/or Swift.
