Job Purpose:


Maintain & support applications along to it analyze, design, develop, modify & test the applications related to Branch & Payment systems for both conventional and Islamic. In this role, the candidate should have high support & analytical skills and to enhancing applications both inhouse (development experience) and vendor based. The candidate is expected to lead project teams and design, develop, implement, and maintain efficient solutions to enable the business groups & operations groups with Business needs, Regulatory needs & Technological advancements.


Responsible for managing a team developing and maintaining Back office & Payment systems for both conventional and Islamic.

Applications consists of:

o Swift related applications (Swift Alliance, Safewatch)

o RTGS / ACH, Clearing applications, Salary / WPS

o Reconciliation systems

o Teller & Backoffice Applications – Built on Dotnet (VB), WCF & SQL technology

o Other inhouse services built on Dotnet (VB) & SQL technology


Role consists of:

  • Provide solutions for business requirements and design solutions.
  • Groom the team to write code and complete programs, and tests systems and applications. Adhere to Change Management Process. Upgrade application according to the vendor/supplier specifications.
  • Plan, design, modify, develop and implement applications. Implementation of new software productions as per business requirement that fits in overall architecture and integrity of the system.
  • Convert project specifications and procedures to detailed logical flow charts for coding into computer language.
  • Conduct code reviews with the team
  • Perform application testing to ensure integrity.
  • Maintain SLAs on Business Systems and ensure the required support is carried out within the time frame.
  • Ensure & guide the team on required documentation, policies and procedure related to Development Projects, Change Control, Access and Security are maintained and applied to all day-to-day activities related to Business Systems
  • Pursue up-to-date knowledge of emerging technology trends and developments in areas of interest to the organization
  • Integration / Interface with other Applications.
  • Production Support by self and team. Critical issue Support as and when required on the respective business areas handled with the aim of reducing Customer complaints
  • Manage Audit / Regulatory / Security compliance.


Education:

A university degree or equivalent with specialization in IT.


Experience:

6+ years of experience in an IT Department, preferably in a Banking Sector.
