Role Overview

We are looking for a Backend Developer (Python/Golang) who is passionate about building scalable, reliable, and

high-performance backend systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment

while contributing to Unacademy’s learning ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

● Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Python or Golang.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including frontend, product, and DevOps — to deliver new features.

● Work with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB) for efficient data management.

● Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.

● Assist in debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing backend performance.

● Ensure system security, scalability, and reliability across applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

● 0–1 year of experience in backend development (freshers can apply).

● Proficiency in Python or Golang.

● Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, and microservices architecture.

● Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

● Basic knowledge of Git and version control workflows.

● Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.

Nice-to-Have

● Exposure to Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or containerized environments.

● Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

● Familiarity with asynchronous systems or message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
