Backend Developer

Salary: Up to £70,000 + Benefits

Location: Kings cross, London (4 days a week)

We’re partnering with a pioneering Healthtech company on a mission to transform early detection of serious illnesses. Their platform empowers individuals to test for major health conditions from the comfort of home - bringing together AI-native workflows, regulated software, and seamless user experience.

They’re looking for a Backend Developer to architect and scale the infrastructure behind this life-saving technology. You’ll work closely with scientists, designers, and Frontend engineers to build secure, high-performance systems that meet the demands of regulated healthcare.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Develop backend services in Node.js using Restful APIs, GRPC,
• Deploy scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform
• Build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions to support rapid iteration and safe deployment
• Set up environments with Docker for both development and production
• Write and maintain integration tests to ensure system reliability and regulatory compliance

What we expect from the Backend Developer:

• Experience building backend systems in Node.js (TypeScript)
• Proven track record of working with cloud services (GCP preferred)
• Passion for improving lives through technology
• Ability to self motivate
• 2-5 years experience as a Backend Engineer
• Strong DevOps skills is a bonus
