We're Hiring: Engineering Lead | East Coast Australia | Healthcare SaaS | Node.js, React, AWS
We're building a modern healthcare platform designed to improve outcomes for patients and clinicians. We're looking for an Engineering Lead for our high-performing team working across Node.js, React, AWS, and a native mobile component.
This is a hands-on leadership role. While your core focus will be on technical leadership, delivery, and architectural direction, you’ll also be expected to role model coding best practices and help shape our engineering culture.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and develop a team of 10 engineers across backend, frontend, mobile, and DevOps
- Improve development velocity through better CI/CD, release processes, automated testing, and observability
- Guide technical decisions and ensure high code quality, security, and performance
- Collaborate with product, design, and clinical teams to deliver features that matter
- Ensure engineering practices meet the standards of regulated medical software
- Travel occasionally to the US and Europe to collaborate with international partners
You should have:
- Strong full-stack engineering experience with deep expertise in Node.js, React and AWS (Lambda, API Gateway)
- Mobile experience with native iOS and Android will be well regarded
- Proven ability to lead teams, by role modelling great engineering practices and culture
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and experience driving improvements in workflow, testing, and deployment
- Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, ISO 13485, or medical device software) is an advantage
- Based on the East Coast of Australia, with the option to work hybrid from our Sydney office
If you're an experienced engineering leader looking to make a meaningful impact in healthcare, get in touch—we’d love to hear from you.
