Our client is one of Australia’s leading technology companies, employing nearly 2,000 people across Australia, the UK, South Africa, Canada, New Zealand and Asia. They partner with some of the world’s most established financial services brands as well as innovative new players.

This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career strategy professional to join the Group Strategy team and play a key role in shaping and supporting the initiatives that underpin our client’s long-term goals.

The Role

As a Strategy Consultant, you’ll contribute to the delivery of high-priority, often Board-mandated, cross-functional initiatives. You’ll also play a key role in executing the company’s strategic planning cycles and competitor/market insights processes.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is analytical, curious, and passionate about strategy and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support high-priority strategic projects, including coordinating workstreams with external consultants.
  • Conduct analysis, research, and prepare documentation to inform and support key decisions.
  • Contribute to annual and five-year planning processes, ensuring effective cross-functional alignment.
  • Maintain and update competitor and market insights, distilling findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Assist in managing core strategic processes such as Quarterly Business Reviews and Monthly Strategy Meetings.

About You

  • 2+ years’ experience in a strategy function, ideally in management consulting or an in-house strategy team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with confidence working in Excel and with structured thinking approaches.
  • Skilled at synthesising insights from research and data into clear recommendations.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Collaborative, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • A team player with humility, intellectual curiosity, and a growth mindset.

This role offers the opportunity to directly contribute to shaping the future direction of a major technology business, while gaining exposure to senior leaders and Board-level initiatives.
