Founding Platform Engineer (Full Stack – Python, Next.js, TypeScript)

Location: Sydney preferred, hybrid.

You’ll join a small, execution-driven team of engineers and clinicians working on the frontier healthtech.

The Role

As our Founding Platform Engineer, you will build and scale the core product surface, developer platform, and production infrastructure. You’ll touch every layer — backend, frontend, data, and deployment — and ship features end-to-end.

You will:

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Python (FastAPI/Django)
• Develop modern web experiences with Next.js and TypeScript
• Build, monitor, and scale CI/CD pipelines and observability systems
• Stand up secure cloud infrastructure and automate deployments
• Define engineering standards, testing practices, and documentation
• Collaborate directly with founders and users to deliver fast, reliable software

About You

• Recent grad with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong experience with Python, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Proven ability to ship production software — personal, academic, or professional
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, networking, and databases
• Comfortable with Git, CLI, containers, and cloud deployment workflows
• High ownership, product mindset, and fast learning loop
• Clear written and verbal communication

Nice to Have:

• Experience with containers/orchestration, infra as code, queues, or tracing
• Knowledge of Golang, Rust, or C++ (a plus for performance-critical systems)
• Deep interest in AI — particularly voice, LLMs, and vision models
• Familiarity with data privacy, security, and regulated environments

What Success Looks Like (3–6 Months)

• You’ve helped ship new features and improve existing infrastructure
• You’ve built or owned a service end-to-end, including CI/CD and observability
• You’ve improved reliability, performance, or developer velocity
• You’ve influenced engineering standards and hiring
