Merging aesthetics and performance, MAAP is a premium cycling apparel brand established in 2014 with the goal to propel cycling forward. Born in Melbourne, we’re bound by our love of art and design, fitness, and community, with sustainability at the core of everything we do.
We value authenticity and this shows up in every aspect of our brand. From the people we hire, to the product we create, and our partnerships across the globe. As a brand, we create a space that is diverse and inclusive, where every voice matters, and we are fuelled by our shared love for design, performance, and cycling.
We are a truly global business with operations in 9+ countries, and we are on a significant growth journey both geographically as well as across distribution channels. As we continue to scale globally, it's time for our People & Culture team to expand, so we're looking for a People & Culture Coordinator to join our Port Melbourne HQ.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture (P&C), you’ll be the go-to for all things P&C — the first point of contact for day-to-day queries, the organiser behind our people initiatives, and the driving force keeping the employee lifecycle running smoothly.
You’ll play a key role in supporting recruitment, onboarding, learning, compliance, and wellbeing, all while helping to maintain a positive, high-performance culture where creativity thrives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support all aspects of the employee lifecycle — from onboarding to offboarding
- Assist with recruitment, candidate management, contracts and letters
- Coordinate onboarding and induction experiences
- Maintain HR systems, records, and reporting (headcount, turnover, compliance, etc.)
- Support the MAAP Performance Cycle and other cyclical P&C initiatives
- Provide policy and P&C support, escalating complex queries where needed
- Collaborate and align with payroll
- Assist with visa and immigration processes
- Coordinate training, wellbeing, and safety initiatives
- Keep our HQ running smoothly with day-to-day office coordination
THE CANDIDATE
You’re organised, proactive, solutions-focused, and thrive in creative, fast-moving environments. You take pride in your attention to detail, and you care about the people behind the process.
You’ll bring:
- Experience as a P&C/HR Coordinator, P&C/HR Administrator, or similar role, ideally within a premium retail, design, or customer service industry and high-performance culture
- Knowledge of P&C/HR processes, legislation, and compliance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A knack for organisation and problem-solving
- Proficiency with Google Suite or Microsoft Office, and HRIS systems
- A relevant qualification (HR, Business, etc.) highly regarded
- Values that align with MAAP’s purpose and culture
- Bonus points if you love cycling — or just the energy of a team that does
This is an opportunity to make a real impact in a fast-growing, design-led business that values authenticity, respect, and fun just as much as performance.
