Your Role
The Network SME will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting our growing network infrastructure. This role involves ensuring the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services. The Network Engineer will also be responsible for planning and implementing network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
About You
We are looking for passionate people who are highly motivated and client focused.
The ideal candidate should have experience with Cisco Meraki (primary) Cisco ACI, Cisco devices, Checkpoint firewalling, and wireless networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, QoS)
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
- Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Proven experience in a network administrator role
- Hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching
- Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
- Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
- Ability to set up and configure server hardware
- Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
- Great at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking
- Excellent communication skills
- Cisco Certified Network Architect (CCNA) or higher.
- Wireless networking certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Wireless or higher.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
- Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Dependable and flexible when necessary
- Network security experience
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
