Job title : Senior DevSecOps Engineer
Location : Brussels, close to public transport (Hybrid)
Cotract type : PERMANENT (no freelance)

Role Description :
As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will join a dedicated team focused on automating the software delivery pipeline while embedding security at every stage. You’ll play a key role in ensuring reliable deployments, maintaining secure environments, and supporting production operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Automation & Deployment: Implement, document, and maintain automated deployment processes for software, operating systems, and utility tools — including monitoring solutions for deployed environments.
- Production Interventions: Perform the initial installation, updates, and patches in production in close collaboration with the System Administration team. After the first rollout, SysAdmins handle further deployments, while DevSecOps provides support and process improvement feedback. (Note: interventions occur roughly once per quarter, usually at night and on-site.)
- Security & Vulnerability Management: Continuously monitor and address vulnerabilities, perform patch management for both development and production environments, and participate in ongoing security-related projects.
- Development Environment Management: Deploy, maintain, and support development environments on the company intranet.
- Innovation & Testing: Evaluate, test, and implement new technologies and methods to enhance the DevSecOps toolchain and improve efficiency.
- Support & On-Site Tasks: Provide second-level support for EBP software and IT equipment in signaling zones, and occasionally assist with assembling or mounting IT equipment in computer or control rooms. (Network engineering will be a minor part of your duties.)
- Security Awareness: Maintain a strong security mindset in all activities and proactively report potential risks with proposed mitigation measures.
Profile and Expectations :

- Works in a structured and precise manner.
- Writes clear, user-friendly documentation and keeps it up to date.
- Communicates effectively and collaborates constructively with team members.
- Knows when to seek help and when to act independently.
- Can handle pressure and remains customer-oriented and discreet.
- Is willing to occasionally work outside regular hours (nights, weekends) during go-lives or hypercare phases.
- Is flexible in working hours and mobile within Belgium.
Languages
Proficient in English and either French or Dutch, with good comprehension of both national languages.
Experience
- Master’s degree in a technical field or minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a DevOps-related role.
- At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, possibly combined with the above.
