Back End Developer – Paris (On-site)

Role description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Back End Developer, located in the Paris area.

The Back End Developer will contribute to the analysis of functional requirements and primarily to the development of a modern web application.

The developer will also collaborate with front-end developers, integrate APIs, and handle database management.

Day-to-day tasks include optimizing applications for scalability and troubleshooting issues.

Ideal Qualifications

Applicants must have these qualifications to be considered for the role:

• Experience in server-side programming languages such as Java and its ecosystem (JAKARTA 9+)
• Familiarity with Oracle/PostgreSQL
• Proficiency in database management and working with SQL databases
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services
• More than 5 years of experience in backend development
• Excellent communication skills, autonomy, curiosity, and ability to work collaboratively
• Must be located within commutable distance to Rungis
• Mastery of good working practices in production (focus on writing readable and testable code, and ability to explain technical choices)
• Fluent in French and technical English

Preferred Qualifications

Applicants don’t need to have these qualifications, but we prefer to hire someone with them:

• Experience with JavaScript
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
